Azusa Pacific University’s School of Nursing is offering an online Same Day Admission event for students interested in APU’s Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) in Nursing and Doctor of Nursing Practice programs.

Please reserve an appointment for this event only if you’re ready to be considered for an admissions decision for the next available term. If you’d like more information about the DNP or Ph.D. programs, please RSVP to attend our information meeting, Tuesday, August 27th at 4 p.m.

If you’re ready to submit an application, please make an appointment and expect to spend about two hours with us. At this event an admissions representative will meet with you to go over admissions requirements and to assist you to complete your application.

The APU Doctoral Nursing faculty and staff will also be present to assist you with time and instructions to write a brief essay about your educational goals, review the Ph.D. and DNP course progression and the DNP-Ph.D. Pathway, and conduct admissions interviews for these programs. In order for your application to be considered complete and ready for an interview, please have the following items available. You’ll be required to upload them during the appointment with the Admissions representative:

    • Unofficial copies of all transcripts leading up to and including Master’s Degree (and DNP if you are interested in the DNP - Ph.D. pathway)
    • A current Resume/CV
    • The name and contact information for one professional and one academic reference
    • Current nursing license

Applicants may receive a conditional admission offer at this event. Additional admissions requirements, including official copies of transcripts and two completed recommendations, will be required before commencing in the program. Please note that this event is only for those nurses who already have a conferred master’s or Doctor of Nursing Practice degree.
